Osayi-Samuel Could Be Teammates With Arsenal Star Ozil Next Season As Fenerbahce Confirm Signing
Published: January 16, 2021Queens Park Rangers winger Bright Osayi-Samuel could be teammates with Arsenal star Mesut Ozil next season.
On Friday, Fenerbahce confirmed through social media that the club have agreed with Bright Osayi-Samuel, a 23-year-old winger wearing the Queens Park Rangers jersey, for four seasons, starting from the 2021-2022 campaign.
2014 World Cup winner with Germany, Ozil is close to a deal with Fenerbahce with his contract with Arsenal set to run out at the end of the season and the playmaker recently admitted that he would love to play for the Yellow Canaries.
Osayi-Samuel's contract with Queens Park Rangers expires in June and the winger has now signed a preliminary contract with the Super Lig giants which he is eligible to do as he has less than six months left on his current contract with the Hoops.
He is set to become the sixth Nigerian-born player to feature for Fenerbahce's first team after Uche Okechukwu, Austin Okocha, Emmanuel Emenike, Joseph Yobo and Victor Moses.
Osayi-Samuel has been one of the standout players in the Championship in the last few seasons, catching the attention of several top clubs including Celtic, Rangers and Club Brugge.
He has scored 13 goals in 115 matches for Queens Park Rangers after joining from Blackpool in the summer of 2017.
