Former Super Eagles invitee Anthony Nwakaeme grabbed the headlines as Trabzonspor thrashed Konyaspor 3-1 in the Turkish Super Lig on Tuesday evening.

The experienced striker opened the scoring at the Medical Park Stadyumu (Trabzon) in the 21st minute, then set up Trabzonpor's second goal netted by Flavio ten minutes into the second half.

On the hour mark, Djaniny Tavares made sure the points were safe when he made it 3-0, before Levan Shengelia reduced the deficit two minutes from time.

Nwakaeme has been firing on all cylinders since joining Trabzonspor, ending his first season with a goal involvement of 22 (11 goals, 11 assists) in all competitions.
