Official : Super Eagles Midfielder Onazi Joins Lithuanian Champions FK Zalgiris Vilnius

Through a statement on their official website, Lithuanian top-flight club FK Zalgiris Vilnius have confirmed the signing of free agent Eddy Onazi.
The financial terms and length of contract signed by the central midfielder have not been disclosed by club or player.
Onazi is a seasoned Nigeria international with over 50 international caps to his name and was a member of the Super Eagles squad at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups.
The 28-year-old helped Nigeria to win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, going the distance in four matches against Zambia, Ivory Coast, Mali and Burkina Faso.
A product of My People FC, he began his career in Europe with Lazio, for whom he made 110 appearances and scored seven goals.
His other European clubs include Trabzonspor, Denizlispor and SönderjyskE.
FK Zalgiris Vilnius won the Lithuanian A Lyga last season and will feature in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League for the 2021-2022 season.
