Super Eagles Striker Osimhen Due To Return To Naples On Monday Evening

Italian Serie A club Napoli have provided an injury update on their record signing Victor Osimhen.
The Nigeria international could not complete Napoli's 4-2 loss to Atalanta on Sunday after losing consciousness in the closing minutes of the game.
The striker collapsed on the pitch and was stretchered off after hitting his head on the turf following a challenge by Cristian Romero and regained consciousness in the ambulance that transported him to the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital.
Napoli confirmed that Osimhen suffered a head injury and he remained in Bergamo overnight as a precaution.
"Victor Osimhen is due to return to Naples on Monday evening after staying in Bergamo overnight as a precaution," Napoli said in a press release.
"The club and doctor Canonico would like to thank the Atalanta medical staff, the resuscitation team at Gewiss Stadium and the A&E staff at the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital for their professionalism.
"The player will be undergo further assessment on Tuesday."
Osimhen returned to action on January 24 after being sidelined for over two months with a shoulder injury and coronavirus.
