Published: March 18, 2021
Arsenal have won the race for the services of talented teenager of Nigerian descent Henry Timi Davies.
Rising Ballers broke the news that the Gunners have fended off interest from London rivals Chelsea to sign Davies who started the season with Manchester City, and allnigeriasoccer.com has directly confirmed that the information is accurate.
The 16-year-old was spotted by Manchester City's London scouts a couple of years ago whilst playing for a grassroots club.
Davies will be among the new intake of Arsenal's academy scholars for the beginning of next season and he's expected to sign a professional contract during the 2021-2022 campaign.
His firstĀ professional contract with Arsenal will tie him to the club for at least three seasons.
Davies has informed this website that he is eligible to represent the Nigerian national teams.
He will play for Arsenal's U18 team next term and eligible to feature in the Papa John's Trophy and Premier League 2.
