Chukwuemeka on target as Aston Villa win ten-goal thriller against West Brom U18s
Published: April 21, 2021
England youth international of Nigerian parentage Carney Chukwuemeka was on target as Aston Villa edged a ten-goal thriller against West Brom in an U18 Premier League match staged at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground on Tuesday.
He has added goals to his locker in recent weeks as he also found the net against Burton Albion in the FA Cup a week ago and got on the scoresheet versus Crystal Palace in the Premier League 2 back in February.
Teixeira's fifth minute goal gave the Baggies the lead but Chukwuemeka equalised three minutes later
In his first appearance for Villa in this season's U18 Premier League, the Anglo-Nigerian made way for Dialla Sylla at half-time with the score at 3-2 in favour of the home team.
Touted to be one of the best players in his age group, the 17-year-old has trained with Aston Villa's first team on countless occasions.
A central midfielder by trade, Chukwuemeka was promoted to Aston Villa's U23 side at the age of sixteen.
The youngster scored his first international goal as England U18s defeated Wales 2-0 in a friendly late last month.
