Confirmed : Danish champions FC Midtjylland sell Nigerian fullback to KuPS
Published: April 21, 2021
Danish champions FC Midtjylland officially announced on Wednesday morning that they have sold their Nigerian fullback Henry Uzochukwu to Finnish Veikkausliiga side KuPS.
A right-back by trade, Uzochukwu is departing FC Midtjylland without making a first team appearance for the Jutland club.
He joined FC Midtjylland from cooperative club FC Ebedei in January 2017 and helped the U19 team win the Boys League in 2018, scoring three goals in seventeen appearances in the division.
Uzochukwu was loaned out to FC Fredericia for two and a half seasons and is credited with 4 goals in 53 matches across all competitions for the second-tier club, including 12 games in 2020-2021.
The 22-year-old has been described as a pacy defender who is good in 1v1 situations.
KuPS travel to the Veritas Stadion to face Inter Turku in their Veikkausliiga opener on Saturday, April 24.
