Southampton, Crystal Palace, Everton, Leicester keeping tabs on 'New Ibrahima Konate'
Published: April 25, 2021
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that several English Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on highly-rated Nigeria-eligible defender Kevin Joshua ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old has made quite an impression since arriving at West Brom last month following a successful trial.
The left-footed center back performed excellently in his last three matches for the Baggies in the last one week or so, against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Stoke City in the Premier League 2 Division Two, and an in-house game against West Brom's first team players last Saturday.
Southampton , Crystal Palace, Everton and Leicester City are watching Joshua closely after receiving glowing reports from their talent spotters.
The inside news is that he has a big chance to get into West Brom's first team in the coming months and the Baggies are considering offering him improved terms in a bid to convince him that his future lies at The Hawthorns.
Joshua has drawn comparisons to RB Leipzig's France U21 international defender Ibrahima Konaté due to his playing style.
The Football Association of Ireland are closely watching the progress of the dual-eligible youngster with a view to a call-up to one of their youth teams.
