The CIES Football Observatory has put together a list of the top ten performing players across the European Leagues using statistics from sports data company InStat.
The metric considers the technical gestures achieved by players, their playing time, as well as the level of the competitions in which matches were played.
For players with 1,000 minutes in this season's Scottish Premiership, two Nigeria internationals in center back Leon Balogun and midfielder Joe Aribo crack the list at number five with an index of 287.
While Aribo logged 2,087 minutes until April 27, 2021 for Glasgow Rangers, Balogun who is currently on the sidelines was in action for 1,402 minutes for the Scottish champions.
Rangers trio James Tavernier (316), Connor Goldson (309) and Ryan Kent (297) are the top three players in the rankings, followed by Glasgow Celtic's Shane Duffy (296).
In-form Nigerian strikers Paul Onuachu, Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo, Terem Moffi and Kelechi Iheanacho were not in the top ten positions of the Belgian First Division A, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Premier League rankings respectively.
Overall, Barcelona captain Lionel Messi (405) outranks PSG's Neymar Júnior (381) and Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski (371).
