Onuachu scores again, Dessers ends long wait for goal as Racing Genk beat Anderlecht
Racing Genk have closed the Belgian First Division A title gap to two points behind Club Brugge thanks to a crucial 2-1 road win over Anderlecht on Saturday night.

The visitors won it thanks to Paul Onuachu and Cyriel Dessers' goals, while Anderlecht's strike was from Manchester City loanee of Nigerian descent Lukas Nmecha.

Onuachu pounced on the rebound and tapped in after Theo Bongonda saw his shot saved by goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen in the sixteenth minute.

The FC Ebedei product took his tally to 35 goals in all competitions in the process, including 33 in the Belgian First Division A.

In the 31st minute, Nmecha brought the Purple & White back on level terms with a powerful left-footed strike from inside the box but Genk secured all three points courtesy of Dessers' goal four minutes from time.

The Belgian-Nigerian headed home a free-kick floated into the Anderlecht box by Bongonda - his first goal since December 6 when he found the net versus Antwerp.

Up next, Racing Genk host Antwerp on Thursday, May 20 before wrapping up the season against Club Brugge three days later.
