Lazio target Simy receives attractive offer from English Championship club
Published: May 16, 2021
Following the relegation of Crotone to the second-tier of Italian football, the future of one of the top scorers in the Serie A, Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo is set to dominate the back pages in the coming weeks.
There is no shortage of clubs interested in signing the Nigeria international in the summer.
According to transfer market guru, Gianluca Di Marzio, the most attractive offer for Simy has come from an unnamed club in the Championship.
However, the unnamed Football League club have a task on their hands to convince the Super Eagle to move to England as the attacker wants to continue playing in the Italian top-flight.
This could put Lazio in pole position to sign the former Portimonense Futebol SAD and Gil Vicente man.
The 29-year-old took his tally for the season to 20 after finding the net in Crotone's 1-1 draw with Benevento on Sunday afternoon.
Simy, who comes off contract in June 2022, is valued in the region of eight million euros by Crotone.
