Watford have confirmed via their official website that Irish-born Nigerian midfielder Bosun Lawal has been offered a new contract by the club ahead of the 2021-2022 campaign.
The 17-year-old will put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the Hornets, should he accept the offer.
Watford have tabled one-year deals for Bosun and six other exciting academy players.
Officially, the Irish-Nigerian is regarded as the most outstanding player in the Watford academy, having won the Academy Player of the Season award for 2020-2021.
This season, Bosun made his debut for Watford U23s and captained the U18s against Newcastle United in the FA Youth Cup.
He turned out for Irish clubs Bohemian and St Kevin's Boys before moving to Vicarage Road in the summer of 2019.
Meanwhile, Nigeria internationals William Troost-Eong and Isaac Success, ex Flying Eagles star Tom Dele-Bashiru and exciting winger Joseph Hungbo remain contracted to Watford beyond this season.
