Two teenagers of Nigerian descent in the shape of West Brom defensive midfielder Timothy Iroegbunam and Sheffield United striker William Osula are in contention to make their Premier League debuts on the final day of the season, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Iroegbunam and Osula have been named in the matchday squad for a top-flight game for the first time in their careers but start on the bench against Leeds United and Burnley respectively.

Iroegbunam,18, has earned a call-up to the Baggies senior squad after impressing for the youth teams, producing four goals and four assists in 28 games across all competitions.

He has been described as a combative, all-action midfielder and has been invited to train with England youth teams in the past.

Osula, 17, has excelled for Sheffield United's U18 and U23 teams in 2020-2021, with the highlight of his performance being the remarkable nine-minute hat-trick he scored against Ipswich Town U23s about a week ago.

Denmark have made the first move to cap the talented center forward, having invited him to train with their U16 team.

Iroegbunam and Osula will be wearing the number 61 and 41 jersey respectively if they make their Premier League debuts.
