Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea contenders for signature of Super Eagles star
Published: May 24, 2021According to caughtoffside.com, Premier League giants Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are among the clubs interested in signing Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze in the summer.
The report claims that the 2015 U17 World Cup winner would consider swapping Villarreal for a new club when the transfer window officially opens and has already held talks with some of the best clubs in the Premier League.
Despite struggling with injuries, Chukwueze has had an outstanding season especially in the Europa League, where he has been involved in five goals (1 goal, 4 assists) from eleven appearances.
The 22-year-old has a release clause of 100 million euros , which has to be triggered by an interested club before he
can shred his agreement with the Yellow Submarine.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær could run the rule over Chukwueze when his team battle Villarreal in the Europa League final on Wednesday, May 26, provided the Nigeria international is passed fit to play the game.
The right winger was heavily courted by Arsenal in 2016 but Diamond Academy pulled out of the deal because they could not agree on the financial terms despite the player passing a medical.
