Italian Serie B club Monza, who are owned by former AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi, are interested in Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo to strengthen their attack next season.

According to Tuttosport via Tuttomercatoweb, there is a possibility of Monza signing the Nigeria international in the summer.

Former Crotone coach Giovanni Stroppa, who knows Simy very well having coached him for two and a half years, is being linked with the managerial job at Monza and for this reason a move to The Biancorossi could materialize.

The second-tier side face competition from Genoa, Lazio, Salernitana and Sampdoria for the services of the Super Eagles center forward.

Since moving to Italy in 2016, Simy has mustered 66 goals in 159 appearances for Crotone, who are willing to sell him to the highest bidder following their relegation from the Serie A.

The 29-year-old has earned a recall to the Nigeria national team for their friendly against Cameroon after close to three years in the international wilderness.

Mohammed Aliyu Datti, Harmony Ikande and Emeka Jude Ugali played for Monza in the past.
