Published: May 28, 2021
Relegated English Premier League side West Brom have published their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2020-2021 season, informs the official website of the Baggies.
One of the decisions taken by West Brom's higher-ups was to offer talented teenager of Nigerian descent Tim Iroegbunam a new deal
The 2003-born Anglo-Nigerian player is among ten players offered their first professional contracts at West Brom.
Described as a combative midfielder, Iroegbunam was recently named West Brom's Marc Darcy Academy Player of the Season for the 2020-2021 campaign.
Though he is classed as an U18 player, he was involved in eight games for the Baggies U23s team in the Premier League 2 and featured in the EFL Trophy last term, while making appearances in the FA Youth Cup and U18 Premier League for his age group.
Iroegbunam was a non-playing substitute in West Brom's final Premier League game of the season at Leeds United.
Meanwhile, Nigeria international Semi Ajayi remains contracted to West Brom for the time being.
