Glasgow Rangers and Celtic interested in signing Nigerian-born winger
Published: June 06, 2021
Scottish Premiership rivals Glasgow Rangers and Celtic are ready to battle for Nigerian-born winger Bright Osayi-Samuel in the summer transfer window.
The online edition of Turkish sports newspaper Fotospor claims that Fenerbahce want to generate money from the sale of players and have put Osayi-Samuel and three other players on the transfer market.
The Yellow Canaries are holding talks with Monaco over a swap deal involving Super Eagles star Henry Onyekuru and Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Monaco face competition from Rangers and Celtic for the services of the former Queens Park Rangers dazzler.
The 23-year-old was linked with both Glasgow giants in the January transfer window but Fenerbahce won the race for his signature.
Osayi-Samuel's transfer to Fenerbahce has not gone according to plan, with the winger scoring just once in eighteen appearances in the Turkish top-flight.
He has a contract with Fenerbahce until June 2025 and if his move to Scotland materializes he would not require a work permit as he has a British passport.
