Cousin of Chelsea whizkid Anjorin wanted by Arsenal, Rangers, Swansea City
Published: June 13, 2021Anglo-Nigerian starlet Abdul Abdulmalik, the cousin of Chelsea wonderkid Faustino Anjorin, is reportedly on the radar of English Premier League, Scottish Premiership and Championship clubs this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, the center forward's performances have not gone unnoticed by Arsenal, Glasgow Rangers and Swansea City.
Twenty-six days ago, Millwall confirmed their retained list and one of the decisions taken was to offer Abdulmalik his first professional contract and it is believed he is delaying signing the new deal after hearing of interest from more high profile clubs.
Scouts from Arsenal and Rangers followed him closely last season, and Swansea City have seen an approach for the promising teenager turned down by the Lions.
The 2003-born striker was one of the stars of the Millwall side that reached the FA Youth Cup quarterfinals in 2019-2020, scoring four goals in four matches before they were knocked out by a Chelsea side captained by his cousin, Anjorin.
Abdulmalik, who has played nonstop at Millwall since 2018, was invited to train with England U17s squad in January 2020.
