Glasgow Rangers quoted N2.34b asking price for Nigerian-born winger
Published: June 19, 2021Fenerbahce are playing hard to get regarding Glasgow Rangers' pursuit of Nigerian-born winger Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Both clubs have reportedly opened a line of communication over the signing of the former Queens Park Rangers dazzler but their positions in terms of the transfer fee are apart.
Turkish sports channel Aspor claims that the Scottish champions have offered three million euros (N1.76 billion in Nigerian currency) for Osayi-Samuel but the offer was rejected by Fenerbahce, who are demanding four million euros (N2.34b).
The Yellow Canaries are planning to offload the Nigerian and some fringe players in the squad to bolster their summer transfer kitty.
Rangers and Fenerbahce will continue negotiations next week, and it has been claimed that Osayi-Samuel is willing to move to the Light Blues.
The 23-year-old made nineteen appearances for the Istanbul side in 2020-2021 with one goal and an assis , and is under contract for four more seasons.
Osayi-Samuel was heavily courted by Rangers in the winter transfer market but opted to join Fenerbahce.
