Confirmed : Super Eagles striker extends contract with six-time Croatian champions
Published: June 20, 2021
Six-time Croatian top-flight champions Hajduk Split have informed via their official website that out-of-favor Super Eagles striker Emem Eduok has extended his stay at the club.
The 27-year-old is now contracted to Hajduk Split until the summer of 2023 and has started training with his teammates ahead of the forthcoming season.
Eduok spent the whole of last season at Konyaspor but struggled with injuries for most part of the campaign, making only six appearances for the Turkish Super Lig side.
The former Akwa United star admitted that he had a difficult season in Turkey and is delighted to return to his parent club.
"I am very happy to be back in Split after 10 challenging months behind me. My wish is to use this positive energy that reigns in the Club and the trust shown to me by the leaders of Hajduk," Eduok told the club's official website.
"I can't wait to run on the field again in Hajduk's jersey and prove my worth. I want to help the team and the Club and, above all, cheer up these wonderful fans who have been supporting me all this time".
In 32 official appearances for Hajduk Split, Eduok scored eleven goals while registering three assists.
