UD Granadilla Tenerife have completed the signing of Nigerian international Roosa Ariyo, informs the official website of the Spanish Primera División (women) side.

Born in Finland to a Nigerian father and Finnish mother, she was a member of the Super Falcons squad to the recent Summer Series held in the United States, making her senior debut in a narrow 1-0 loss to Jamaica.

Ariyo is the first player acquired by UD Granadilla Tenerife ahead of the 2021-2022 season and has put pen to paper on a two-year contract until June 2023.

The 27-year-old joins the Spanish side from Tikkurilan Palloseura of Finland, where she contributed 15 assists and 21 goals in 25 games spread over three seasons.

Upon signing the deal, Ariyo told the club's official website : "I am very happy to sign with UDG Tenerife Egatesa. They have given me very good references on how the club works.

"I hope to contribute all my virtues in a very attractive competition and I hope to restore the confidence of the board with goals and good performance. I'm looking forward to meeting my teammates and the fans".

On her curriculum vitae, Ariyo counts Monroe Tribunes, Bridgeport Purple Knights, Honka and Jitex BK as her previous clubs.
