Liverpool WFC striker, Akinfenwa send messages to Henderson after first goal of England career
England have advanced to the semifinals of the 2020 European Championship after thrashing Ukraine 4-0 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Saturday night.

Harry Kane gave the Three Lions an early lead inside four minutes, before second half strikes from Harry Maguire, Kane again and substitute Jordan Henderson sealed an emphatic win for the 1966 world champions.

Henderson wrapped up the scoring when he headed home after Mason Mount swung in a corner from the right - the first goal of his England career on his 62nd appearance.

Liverpool Women Player of the Year for the 2019-2020 campaign, Rinsola Babajide, who is eligible to represent the Super Falcons, and life-long Liverpool fan Adebayo Akinfenwa congratulated the Reds captain on his maiden goal for the Three Lions by sending him messages on social media.

Henderson posted on Instagram shortly after the win vs the Ukrainians : "Means everything to get on the scoresheet for my country! In a Euros quarter-final is even better. Lads were outstanding. Full focus on the semis!"

Reacting to his post, Babajide said : "Buzzingggg for you 🥳🥳🥳".

Anglo-Nigerian striker Akinfenwa added : "💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿".

England, who are yet to concede a goal after five matches in the European Championship, will face Denmark at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday, July 7.
