Published: July 04, 2021
Super Eagles winger Henry Onyekuru is the subject of transfer battle between three Turkish Super Lig clubs based in Istanbul, with Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas interested in signing him.
According to Turkish sports daily Fanatik making reference to Ajansspor, Onyekuru may be heading to either Fenerbahce or Besiktas.
The former Everton winger has been waiting for an update from Galatasaray for five weeks but has not been contacted about a possible move.
Onyekuru and his agent William D'Avila are in Istanbul for the final round of talks with Fenerbahce and Besiktas.
It is claimed that the two clubs are willing to meet Monaco's 4.3 million euros asking price for the Nigeria international.
Besiktas are reportedly the favourites to prise the 24-year-old from Monaco this summer as they will be able to offer him the chance to feature in the group stage of the 2021-2022 Champions League.
Onyekuru has enjoyed three different loan spells at Galatasaray, making 71 appearances in all competitions, scored 22 goals and registered 12 assists.
