Jadon Sancho successor at Dortmund : PSV to demand more than N11.8b for Madueke
Published: July 06, 2021
PSV Eindhoven will demand more than twenty million euros (approximately N11.8 billion) from Borussia Dortmund if they attempt to sign Nonso Madueke this summer, according to reports.
The Dutch Eredivisie giants are fighting to keep hold of the England U21 international of Nigerian descent after the winger emerged as a target of Dortmund to replace Jadon Sancho, who is set to complete his move to Manchester United.
Voetbal International says PSV Technical director John de Jong would reject any bid of €20m for Madueke and it remains to be seen if the club would accept an offer with a few million euros added.
The 19-year-old's proposed move to Borussia Dortmund is gathering pace with his father and agent recently invited to check out the facilities at the German Bundesliga giants.
The sale of Sancho to Manchester United for a fee of 85 million euros will help Dortmund return to a good financial standing, paving the way for them to table an official bid to PSV for Madueke.
Regarded as one of the top talents in European football, the Anglo-Nigerian was literally unplayable as PSV thrashed RWD Molenbeek 6-2 this past weekend in their first pre-season game, scoring twice and bagging two assists.
Despite his limited playing opportunities since earning promotion to PSV's first team, Madueke has directly participated in 17 goals (9 goals, 8 assists) from 36 games.
He has three years left on his contract with the Eindhoven based club.
