Watford sporting director Cristiano Giaretta has responded to speculation in the local and foreign press linking the Hornets with a move for Racing Genk striker Paul Onuachu in the summer transfer window.
It was claimed that the newly promoted Premier League club have opened talks with Racing Genk over the signing of the Nigeria international.
Giaretta has insisted that Onuachu is not on Watford's radar and they have no desire to sign the lanky forward this summer.
Indeed, Watford are well-stocked in the attacking department, with the likes of Joshua King, Emmanuel Dennis, Ashley Fletcher and Kwadwo Baah all brought in to bolster the squad.
Asked to confirm reports of Watford's interest in Onuachu, Giaretta directly told allnigeriasoccer.com : "It is not true, we are not in talks with the player''.
This website can also confirm that Watford's Premier League rivals Arsenal are not interested in signing Onuachu this summer amid speculation linking him with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
The confusion arose because of his previous admission that the Gunners were his dream club.
West Ham United and Brighton & Hove are mulling over a bid for Onuachu who made a splash in the Belgian First Division A with 35 goals in all competitions last season.
