Besiktas and Feyenoord to miss out on Nigeria's newest goalscoring sensation
Published: July 11, 2021
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Dutch Eredivisie powerhouse Feyenoord and Turkish giants Besiktas are set to miss out on the signature of Nigeria's newest goalscoring sensation Ike Ugbo in the summer transfer window.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported on Saturday that the Chelsea young star has been approached by Feyenoord, Besiktas, Genk and PSV Eindhoven, adding that he will decide his future in the next days as he has just one year left on his contract with Chelsea.
This website understands that it is correct that all the four aforementioned clubs have been on the trail of the Super Eagles hopeful for close to two months.
For sporting reasons, Ugbo has turned down the possibility of transferring to Feyenoord, while he is not ready to move to the Turkish League at this stage of his career despite the big money dangled by Besiktas.
The 22-year-old made a splash in Belgian last season, scoring seventeen goals from 34 appearances in all competitions for Cercle Brugge.
A prolific scorer during his time with Chelsea youth teams, Ugbo has been on the books of the Stamford Bridge outfit since U10 level.
