Ex-Super Eagles star reveals his two daughters at BK Hacken have accepted invite to Nigeria camp
Published: July 15, 2021Former Nigeria international Peter Ijeh was delighted to see his two daughters named in the Nigeria squad list on Thursday for an eight-day training camp in Austria.
2003-born Josephine Ijeh is a defender at Damallsvenskan outfit BK Hacken, while her sibling Evelyn is also on the books of the Swedish champions.
The 19-year-old Evelyn is provisionally cap-tied to Sweden after playing competitive matches for their U17 and U19 national teams.
Evelyn Ijeh is proving to be a chip off the old block as she loves wearing headbands, a style she copied from her famous father.
"Both of them - Evelyn and Josephine - are my daughters. They will be in Austria and see how it is," said Peter Ijeh to allnigeriasoccer.com.
"Children of nowadays they are inquisitive to know where the parents really, really come from even if they have visited Nigeria.

"Of course they are happy to play for Nigeria that's why they accepted the invitation.
"Getting invited is a welcome development for them at least to see how the well talked about Nigeria is.
"They have been to Nigeria two or three times in the past, they love the mentality there, different from what they see here."

One of the famous Nigerian footballers to play in Scandinavia, Peter Ijeh revealed how he has encouraged his two daughters to take up football as a profession.
"They watch my video clips, they come to the team I train, they sit around. That's how they fell in love with what I'm doing. At the end of the day they want to be like me
"Sometimes I train them, I make them train with the male team and of course they play for their teams and I try to encourage them.
"They have all the resources and all the things needed to succeed," Ijeh concluded.
