Contract not signed yet: Eagles captain agrees 2+1 year Fatih Karagumruk deal, pending physical
Published: July 21, 2021
Fatih Karagumruk are set to pull off a transfer coup by signing Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa.
The news of Musa's proposed move to Fatih Karagümrük was broken by Turkish newspaper Milliyet, who reported that the Turkish Super Lig side have reached an agreement with Ahmed Musa, a free agent who was also interesting Galatasaray and Beşiktaş.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Musa is in Istanbul right now with his English-based agent Tony Harris to finalize his switch to Fatih Karagumruk.
Contrary to viral reports at home and abroad, this website understands that Musa has yet to put pen to paper on a deal with Fatih Karagumruk.
The 28-year-old will complete a physical examination on Thursday before signing a two-year contract with an option for an additional season, if all goes well.
The former Kano Pillars star previously had spells with VVV Venlo, CSKA Moscow (twice), Leicester City and Al-Nassr.
A two-time World Cupper, Musa is nearing a century of caps for the Super Eagles after making his senior debut at the age of 17.
