Liverpool interested in N14.6billion-rated Nigerian-born winger
Published: August 03, 2021According to Spanish sports daily Marca via Express UK, Liverpool are interested in signing Bournemouth's Nigerian-born winger Arnaut Danjuma this summer.
The Reds are looking to add the two-cap Netherlands international to their ranks with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah set to represent Senegal and Egypt respectively at next year's Africa Cup of Nations.
It is thought Danjuma could be acquired for a fee of 21 million pounds (N14.6 billion in Nigerian currency).
Liverpool are not the only Premier League linked with a move for the Dutch-Nigerian as Leeds United and West Ham have been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old.
Europa League winners Villarreal had reportedly previously made an offer for Danjuma but Bournemouth rejected it.
He shone for the Cherries last season, scoring 17 goals and adding eight assists in 37 appearances, 33 as a starter and hit the 2500-minute mark in the Championship.
Danjuma's contract with Bournemouth expires in June 2024.
A former PSV Eindhoven youth teamer, he has worn the jerseys of NEC Nijmegen and Club Brugge in the past.
