Man City coach Guardiola heaps praise on Nigeria-eligible winger after scoring for third game running

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on Samuel Edozie after the Nigeria-eligible winger scored for the third consecutive game as the Premier League champions thrashed Blackpool 4-1 at the Academy Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The 18-year-old featured in all of City's pre-season matches, entering the game as a substitute against Preston North End while starting against Barnsley and Blackpool.
A professional debut could be on the cards for Edozie in the coming months as Guardiola seems more than happy with the Anglo-Nigerian starlet but has urged fans not to put pressure on the winger.
In an extraordinary week for Edozie, it took him only three minutes to break the deadlock versus Blackpool, lifting the ball over the goalkeeper after Gundogan's shot was blocked.
"As a young talent, having a special quality, a guy who gets to the box with intention to score a goal - it's so important for wingers," Guardiola said to the official website of Man City.
"He's an incredible young player with good pace. But we have to be patient with him. He had minutes and played good and this is important."

Edozie helped City's Elite Development Squad win the Premier League 2 title last season, scoring three goals in seventeen appearances.
