Official : Super Eagles dazzler named CSKA Moscow's best player July-August
Published: September 14, 2021
Skillful Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke has been named CSKA Moscow's best player in July-August 2021, informs the official website of the Army Men.
Winning the award caps an incredible few weeks for the talented 23-year-old, who dazzled everyone, especially in the first half, during Nigeria's 2-1 road win vs Cape Verde in a 2022 World Cup qualifier.
He continued to shine for CSKA Moscow upon his return to Russia, winning the Man of the Match award in the last round of matches against Arsenal Tula.
In a poll to determine the best player of CSKA Moscow since the start of the 2021-2022 season, Ejuke claimed 44 percent of the votes to place first ahead of Alan Dzagoev and Igor Akinfeev.
So far this season, the Super Eagles star played seven games in total, logged 473 minutes and has an excellent disciplinary record as he did not receive a yellow or red card.
Ejuke opened his account for the season against Dynamo Moscow on game week three, provided an assist the following matchday, before bagging his second goal this term versus Akhmat Grozny.
He joined the Muscovites in August 2020 from Dutch Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen.
