Aston Villa summer signing Chukwuemeka announces himself with hat-trick vs WBA in PL2
Caleb Chukwuemeka is proving that he is to good to be playing Premier League 2 football after netting in his second consecutive game for Aston Villa U23s on Friday evening.

The Nigeria-eligible striker was undoubtedly the star of the show as Villa beat West Brom 4-2 in a thrilling clash at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground.

Aston Villa announced the capture of Caleb, the elder brother of Carney Chukwuemeka, around one month ago from Northampton Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 19-year-old gave Aston Villa a sensational start with a magnificent right-footed shot that flew past the Baggies goalkeeper in the third minute.

Five minutes before half-time, the former Cobblers wonderkid slammed the ball home from close range to give Aston Villa the buffer of a two-goal advantage after fine work by another player of Nigerian descent Tim Iroegbunam.

In the 83rd minute, Chukwuemeka grabbed his hat-trick when he swept the ball home majestically to restore Aston Villa's two-goal cushion after Shotton had thumped a header into the net to reduce the arrears.

Having made his senior debut off the bench in a Carabao Cup clash against Barrow on August 24, Chukwuemeka will be aiming to force his way into Aston Villa's first team picture in the coming months.

He netted on his Aston Villa U23 debut against Fulham before the international break.
