VAR chalks off goals from two Nigerian stars in Leicester City's 2-1 loss to Brighton & Hove

After blowing a two-goal lead against Napoli in the Europa League, Leicester City almost did the opposite in Sunday's clash against Brighton & Hove but were denied by two refereeing decisions and eventually lost 2-1 at the American Express Community Stadium.
It was collective despair for The Foxes who will feel that everything was against them as a penalty converted by Neal Maupay ten minutes before half-time was contested and saw two goals disallowed, both for offside.
The Seagulls doubled the advantage through ex-Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck but Leicester City fought spectacularly in the second half to try and salvage a draw.
Jamie Vardy dispatched the ball into the net to half the deficit after a perfect cross from Tielemans in the 61st minute, with Super Eagles hopeful Ademola Lookman, on as a substitute at half-time, involved in the build-up to the goal.
The RB Leipzig loanee made a huge impact after coming off the bench and bundled home a corner to seemingly get Leicester back on level terms in the 66th minute but the goal was disallowed as Harvey Barnes was deemed to be offside following a VAR review.
There was more drama to come as Wilfred Ndidi headed in at the near post from a corner in the 85th minute but the goal was chalked off as Barnes, who was offside again, was interfering with play according to VAR.
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho joined the action when he took Soumaré's place on the pitch in the 73rd minute.
