Official : Teenage Nigeria-eligible striker completes transfer to Everton
With a statement on their official website, Premier League side Everton have announced the capture of teenage Nigeria-eligible striker Francis Okoronkwo from Sunderland.

Okoronkwo took the decision to leave the Black Cats earlier in the summer and the Toffees have now confirmed his signing.

The 17-year-old has signed his first professional contract with Everton, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2024.

Born in Blyth, Northumberland, Okoronkwo departed Sunderland without making his senior debut but was a key player for the U18 side, for whom he scored three goals and provided three assists in seventeen outings last season.

He was on target and set up a goal as Sunderland defeated Everton 4-3 in an U18 Premier League match back in May.

Okoronkwo has been described as a skillful attacker who possesses impressive speed, movement and balance, and is comfortable operating in all positions across the frontline.

He was on the books of Sunderland for approximately five years.
