Published: September 30, 2021Through their official website, French D1 Féminine club Dijon FCO have announced the signing of Nigeria international Esther Sunday.
The length and financial terms of the contract have not been disclosed by Dijon FCO.
The necessary paperwork is in place for Sunday to make her competitive debut for Dijon in their league match with Soyaux on Saturday, October 2.
On her curriculum vitae, she lists Sunshine Queens, Pelican Stars, FK Minsk, Trabzon İdmanocağı, Konak Belediyespor, Ataşehir Belediyespor and ALG Spor as her previous employers.
Commenting on the capture of the Super Falcon, manager Christophe Forest said : "Esther arrived in France in July, and joined the DFCO, in part thanks to Désiré Oparanozie, with whom she played in the national team.
"She has a small profile, fast, technically comfortable, which will be able to bring us into the corridors, where we are in deficit. She also has experience".
Esther Sunday was a member of the Super Falcons squad to the 2015 Women's World Cup.
