Two Nigerian strikers nominated for Watford's Goal of the Month award
Published: October 01, 2021
Two Nigerian strikers Emmanuel Dennis and Adekite Fatuga-Dada are among the nominees for Watford's Goal of the Month award for September 2021.
The duo are up against Watford Women's Helen Ward and Anne Meiwald, Ismaïla Sarr who has been triple nominated for the accolade, and Ashley Fletcher.
Dennis netted his second goal in the Premier League as the Hornets defeated Norwich City 3-1 at Carrow Road on September 18.
Seventeen minutes into the contest, the Super Eagles star was in the right place at the right time and guided home a header after Kiko Femenía delivered a dangerous cross into the box.
Adekite Fatuga-Dada has been nominated for her strike in a FA Women's Championship clash against Blackburn Rovers.
Two minutes from time, she reduced the deficit to 3-1 when she dropped a free-kick into the 18-yard box and it didn't get a touch on its way in.
Fatuga-Dada, 25, was among the dual-eligible players called up to a Nigeria training camp in July 2021.
