Crystal Palace interested in signing Rangers' 10-cap Nigeria international
Published: October 15, 2021Versatile Glasgow Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo is being linked with a move to the English Premier League.
Football Insider is reporting that Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on the ten-cap Nigeria international with a view to a move as from the January transfer window.
Palace's recent transfer strategy is to sign young, talented players and they have poached Anglo-Nigerian duo Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise from Queens Park Rangers and Reading respectively in the last fourteen months.
And Aribo fits the bill for the Eagles considering that he turned 25 in July and his quality is not in doubt.
The former Charlton Athletic man has been a key player for manager Steven Gerrard since him move to the Ibrox Stadium, scoring nineteen goals and assisting a further seventeen in 106 appearances across all competitions.
Aribo's most familiar position is central midfield but he can also play out on the wing and as an attacking midfielder.
He has less than two years to run on his contract with the Scottish Premiership champions.
