'He's better than Lukaku' - West Ham legend makes bold claim about Napoli striker Osimhen

Legendary West Ham forward Paolo Di Canio believes Victor Osimhen is a better striker than Chelsea's record acquisition Romelu Lukaku at the moment and has attempted to use their goalscoring statistics to back up his claim.
The Belgium international has failed to find the back of his net in his last six appearances for Chelsea, whereas Osimhen has mustered eight goals in his last seven matches for Napoli.
The 2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner was courted by a host of top European clubs but Napoli pulled off a transfer coup by signing the Nigerian from Lille for a club record fee of 70 million euros in 2020.
The Super Eagle didn't exactly light up the Serie A in his maiden season at the Parthenopeans due to injury and a Covid-related absence but still managed to end the campaign with 10 goals.
Osimhen has had an explosive start to the 2021-2022 campaign and his brilliant form has helped Napoli maintain a hundred percent record after eight rounds in the Serie A.
"Osimhen is something else, he has a wickedness, he is not limp ... it means he is better than Lukaku: who then in the last five games no goals but that's another matter," Di Canio said on Sky Calcio Club via FCInter1908.
"The level is raised and now it's the fault of Chelsea who are first in the standings. Lukaku was functional as Llorente was, even if Romelu is stronger".
Osimhen has not gone below 10 goals inĀ each of his last three full seasons, scoring 20 for RSC Charleroi in 2018-19, 18 for Lille the following season before netting ten for Napoli last term.
