Nigeria-eligible striker Louis Flower took to social media on Monday evening to express his happiness at signing a new deal with European champions Chelsea.
Chelsea confirmed via their official website on October 13 that Cambridge-born Flower has signed his first professional contract with the club after turning seventeen.
Same day the new deal was confirmed, the promising Anglo-Nigerian center forward made his debut for Chelsea's development squad, coming off the bench for the last 20 minutes of a 2-1 win over the first team of League Two club Bristol Rovers in the EFL Trophy.
"Happy to sign my first professional contract. Thanking God for another blessing in my life," Flower posted on Instagram.
Flower has been described as a tall and strong forward who can operate from the left or in the centre and has an eye for goal.
He netted his first competitive goal for Chelsea's youth teams as the U18s came from behind to defeat Reading 3-2 in the Premier League Cup on Saturday.
