Official : Emile Heskey to coach Leicester's Super Falcons hopeful pre-Manchester United
Published: November 25, 2021Through their official website, Leicester City have announced that they have parted company with LCFC Women First Team Manager Jonathan Morgan.
The Foxes have sacked Morgan following a dismal start to the new FA Women's Super League season, with no points recorded after eight games in the division.
Super Falcons hopeful Ashleigh Plumptre is a key member of the Leicester City squad, having gone the distance in all but one of the games played by the club in their maiden season in the WSL.
The former England youth international, Leicester City Women's Players' Player of the Season for 2020-2021, was appointed assistant captain of the club in August 2021.
Former England striker Emile Heskey will be coaching Plumptre and her teammates on a temporary basis in preparation for the team's fixture against Manchester United in the Continental Cup on Sunday 5 December.
Leicester-born Plumptre returned for a second spell at Leicester City in 2020 after stops at Birmingham City, Derby County, USC Trojans, Notts County and LA Galaxy OC.
