Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool interested in Aston Villa midfielder of Nigerian descent
Published: November 29, 2021
According to the Guardian UK, Premier League giants Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool are monitoring the situation of highly-rated Aston Villa midfielder of Nigerian descent, Carney Chukwuemeka.
Chukwuemeka is tied to Aston Villa until the summer of 2023 and the Lions are keen to tie him down to fresh terms but he sees his future elsewhere due to a lack of first team opportunities.
In the current season, the 18-year-old has made three appearances for Aston Villa's first team - none under new coach Steven Gerrard who did not utilize him off the bench in his first two games against Brighton & Hove and Crystal Palace.
German Bundesliga duo Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with Chukwuemeka.
The Anglo-Nigerian starlet will enter the last eighteen months of his contract at Aston Villa in January and can sign a preliminary contract with a foreign club as from January 2023.
Aston Villa have a key decision to make and could cash in on the England U19 international next summer if he does not extend his contract.
Chukwuemeka, Aston Villa's current Academy Player of the Season, was a key member of the squad that won the FA Youth Cup last season.
