Davies has admitted that his ambitions are to to break into the Arsenal first team in the coming years and earn an international cap for England.

The promising striker was invited to train with Arsenal's first team during the last international break of the season in November.

Speaking after signing his new contract, Davies told Arsenal's official website : "One of my main personal goals is to get called up to train with the first team more and maybe even feature for them and get an international cap for England.

"I've enjoyed my time at Arsenal a lot so far and I know there's many more opportunities to come in the future and I'm prepared for it."

Several dual-eligible players on the books of Arsenal including Folarin Balogun, Arthur Okonkwo, Miguel Azeez and Zach Awe have earned caps for England's youth teams.
