Super Eagles captain Musa sends message to Nigerians before AFCON clash vs Guinea-Bissau
Published: January 19, 2022Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has sent a message to Nigerians and fans of the national team ahead of their final group game against Guinea-Bissau.
Nigeria's caretaker boss Augustine Eguavoen is expected to give minutes to some fringe players in the squad in this evening's clash and these days Musa falls into the category.
Although it is a dead rubber game, the Super Eagles are aiming to be the only team to finish the group stage with a one hundred percent record.
Musa has urged Nigerians to keep praying for the team in their quest to win a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title and vowed to give his best if called upon by Eguavoen.
"I am not the coach. Anyone that he chooses to play will give all his best. Whenever I come in I always give what I know how to do," Musa told reporters.
"Nigerians should keep praying for us and by the grace of God we will make them happy, we know the importance of winning the tournament and we are doing all our best to make that promise fulfilled for them."
