Brentford interested in Charlton's Nigeria-eligible teenagers after extensive scouting by Marcus Bean
Published: April 04, 2022
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Brentford are keeping tabs on Charlton Athletic's Nigeria-eligible teenagers Jason Adigun and Tolu Ladapo.
The Bees have been following the progress of Adigun and Ladapo for two months nonstop ahead of a potential move in the summer.
Brentford's Emerging Talent scout, Marcus Bean has been spotted at most of Charlton Athletic youth team games and he was given the brief to run the rule over the two Anglo-Nigerian teenagers.
Adigun and Ladapo were key members of the Addicks U18 squad that sealed the Professional Development League 2 – South title with six games to spare in March 2022.
Charlton Athletic could offer Ladapo, who is a winger, his first professional contract to fend off interest from Brentford, with his contract expiring on June 30, 2022.
In the current season, Brentford have bolstered their B team with the signings of Nigeria-eligible trio Daniel Oyegoke, Val Adedokun and Deji Sotona from Arsenal, Dundalk and OGC Nice respectively.
Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka joined the Bees from sister club FC Midtjylland last July.
