Official: JOHN OGU joins Atletico Club de PortugalJohn Ugochukwu Ogu has been freed from his 'contract' with Union St Gillis, and has signed a one year deal with Portuguese second division club Atlético Clube, Lisbon.

Recall that the 22-year-old was sensationally deceived into signing a contract with Union St Gillis in August 2010. The Belgian club wanted to loan him to Eupen, a Belgian premier division club and he refused. Ogu is happy his nightmare is finally over after six months without a club.

''I came to Portugal to sign a one-year-deal with Atlético to enable me continue playing. Union St Gillis put me through a lot of pain, problems and frustration.

''I don't want to hear about that club (Union St Gillis) again. Like I said before, they are all thieves, '' Ogu revealed to allnigeriasoccer.com in a Facebook message.

The former Akwa Starlet player was taken to Europe by Marshall Mbre, a former Genoa striker, who is now an agent. Mbre also manages Nnamdi Oduamadi, Michael Odibe and Oluwaseyi Adeleke.
