Super Eagles midfielder back in action for Lorient after injury on international duty

Super Eagles midfielder Innocent Bonke has returned to action after approximately three weeks on the sidelines.
Bonke suffered a groin injury during the second half of Nigeria's goalless draw against the Black Stars of Ghana in a 2022 World Cup playoff in Kumasi on March 25.
The ailment kept the former Malmo midfield enforcer out of the squad for the second leg at the MKO Abiola Stadium.
Bonke reclaimed his place in the starting lineup as Lorient were beaten 2-1 by OGC Nice in a French Ligue 1 match at
Allianz Riviera on Easter Sunday and left the pitch win only one minute remaining on the clock.
The 26-year-old experienced no physical problems during his comeback and should be available for selection again in Wednesday's home game against Metz.
With Leicester City ace Wilfrd Ndidi ruled out for the rest of the season, Bonke coming through the game unscathed will be sweet music to ears of the Super Eagles coaching staff ahead of the squad announcement for the friendlies with Mexico and Ecuador.
