Published: April 21, 2022
The brilliant performances of prolific Accrington Stanley youth team star Leslie Adekoya have not gone unnoticed by clubs higher up the football pyramid in the United Kingdom.
The 2004-born center forward has put himself in the shop window after scoring an impressive 21 goals combined for the U18s and U23 teams of Accrington Stanley.
At the age of seventeen, Adekoya earned his first call-up to Accrington Stanley's first team as the Reds were held to a 1-1 draw by Sheffield Wednesday on March 15.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur have instructed one of their scouts to check out Adekoya when Accrington Stanley face Morecambe U18s in the Youth Alliance on April 30.
Championship outfit Huddersfield Town have taken a look at him this season, while Scottish Premiership champions Rangers, Everton and Swansea City have been sounded out about the possibility of signing the 6ft 4in attacker.
Adekoya is eligible to represent the national teams of England, Nigeria and Republic of Ireland.
It is understood that the Football Association of Ireland are currently in pole position for his services.
The talented teenager is good in the air, a composed finisher, offers physicality and has pace to burn.
