Nottingham Forest attempted to sign Nigerian, ex-Chelsea wing-back in March
It has come to light that promotion-chasing Nottingham Forest attempted to sign former Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses in March 2022, according to The Telegraph.

UEFA and FIFA had confirmed that teams could register footballers from the Russian and Ukrainian Leagues after war broke out between the two neighbors.

Foreign players who play in the two countries were allowed to suspend their contracts until June and play for another team elsewhere in the event they were willing to do so.

And Nottingham Forest were hoping to take advantage of the special dispensation but Moses's proposed move to the City Ground did not materialize.

Despite his lack of playing time for most part of his career at Chelsea, Moses was able to win the Europa League, Premier League and FA Cup before ending a nine-year association with the Stamford Bridge outfit last summer.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations has Championship experience under his belt, making 58 appearances for Crystal Palace across three seasons before he was snapped up by Wigan Athletic,

Moses signed a contract extension with Spartak Moscow in February, keeping him at the Russian Premier League giants until June 2024.
