West Ham United are reportedly set to firm up their interest in signing Super Eagles star Emmanuel Dennis by tabling a bid to Watford.
According to The Mirror UK, the Hammers are planning a £20m (N5.4 billion) bid for Dennis and representatives of the striker will hold talks with the Hornets higher-ups after their final game of the season against Chelsea this coming weekend.
Dennis has a contract with Watford until June 30, 2026 but there are question marks over his future following the relegation of the club from the Premier League.
The 24-year-old was one of the bright sparks in Watford's dismal season, with a goal involvement of sixteen in 33 outings in the top-flight.
West Ham face stiff competition from moneybags Newcastle United for the signature of Dennis but the London club could be in the driving seat, given that they can offer him European football next season.
Club Brugge would benefit if Dennis is sold because of the sell-on clause they included in the deal bringing him to Watford.
The Nigerian has been inactive for Watford since May 7 due to the knee injury he sustained in the defeat to Crystal Palace.
