Super Eagles winger valued at N7.2b ahead of potential permanent move to Leicester City
Published: May 18, 2022
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to tie up a permanent deal for Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman.
According to The Daily Mail, the winger will cost the Foxes 14 million pounds (approximately N7.2 billion in Nigerian currency) if they decide to sign him on a permanent basis.
The 2017 U20 World Cup winner with England has impressed since his loan move from RB Leipzig, scoring eight goals and registering five assists in 40 all-competition appearances.
Leicester City are in the market for a central defender, central midfielder and winger ahead of the start of next season, and are looking to start contract talks with Lookman in the next couple of weeks.
The 24-year-old has two years left on his contract with RB Leipzig and it is believed that he is not in the plans of the German Bundesliga club having been shipped out on loan to Fulham and Leicester City in two consecutive seasons.
Given that he is now a Nigeria international and is close to reaching a milestone of 100 matches in the Premier League, it's not difficult to understand why the Foxes are interested in signing him on a permanent deal.
